Agreement In Marriage........

Image
Hi lovelies, I know this is different from what I usually feature on the blog, but I have been attending the Singles Fellowship of the Fountain Of Life Church and it has been a wonderful experience. I realize that I have been selfish with the eye-opening information that I have received from the house of God. I chose to share this topic because I have gotten to the age where marriage is the next big step for me plus I now have married friends who will be blessed by this wonderful piece. My dear readers, Please read the words of  PASTOR Kunle Osunkunle, enjoy, share and comment.  We need to learn about agreement in marriage. Amos 3:3. For you to walk together you must agree. Both of you must have the same goal for you to agree. If you do not have agreement in a lot of critical issues then you both should not go into it. After the altar agreement there need to be continuous agreement. Your courtship period is important to know things to agree upon. Ecce 4:9-12. There

Claim Your Morning Back

How do you start your day? This short write-up was inspired by reading Claire Taylor's articles and this one sort of spoke to me because of how it affects our lives in general. In an article titled Why It Matters How You Start Your Morning, Claire spoke about how she went for a retreat where she didn't DO anything but she worked more on the Be. In her words:  My intention for the retreat was - BE, RELAX & SURRENDER.  This wasn’t a do, do, do weekend – it was about chilling out and going with the flow.   This got me thinking, how many times have you and I taken time to have a retreat with ourselves? Where we keep all human contact from the outside especially on our phones very minimal?.  Claire went on to explain how social media is a Super-highway and I do agree with her. Talking about social media in Nigeria, since the excessively yet positive reduction in the price of data bundles, the craze has taken over and I am as guilty as the person tweeting away ri

God, Jesus, The Smoke Cloud

It's another one from my guy Timi Price. Enjoy! Hey guys, If you’ve read the first story, the one about Absalom, the old man and the tale of the biggest sacrifice in human history. This is the tale of what happens next when the offering has started, how it is received in the heavens. If you don’t have a sense of humour, kindly just close the page right now. I still intend to write about how the arrangements of the animals happen, the co-ordination of hundreds of slaughter or sacrificial men, that will be for another day. I’m excited about today. For those who have decided to see what will happen, come with me on the journey of how it is received in heavens. Open your mind, follow the story line by line. So, it’s a beautiful day in heaven, God and Jesus was sitting side by side of course with their smoothies discussing the future of humanity. “Jesus, I tell you, the future is a lot more interesting, there are cars, then cars that drive themselves, th

Job's First Day In Heaven...... Contd

Image
This is the concluding part of the Job's story written by my hilarious friend Timi Price. Read, enjoy and share......... "Very well," the LORD told Satan, "everything he owns is in your power. However, you must not lay a hand on Job himself." So Satan left the LORD's presence.  Holman Christian Standard Bible, Jobs 1:12 “Take it easy, Job. There is a very small explanation for this. Trust me” God said. “God allowed Satan to test your faith” Jesus said “J-E-S-U-S!” God called out his name. “Dad, no use ripping the bandage slowly. The wound has healed” Jesus defended himself “It’s not in your place to say, son!” God said “What is Bandage” Job asked. “Its something that was invented, thousands of years later to prevent infections. You’ll understand that later, it’s a future innovation” God said “From what Jesus is saying, you knew Satan was gonna destroy my life and you allowed it.”

Job's First Day In Heaven

This is another piece from my man Timi Price, funny as always this one captures Job's first day in heaven. Read, enjoy, laugh and share. Thank me later "Very well," the LORD told Satan, "everything he owns is in your power. However, you must not lay a hand on Job himself." So Satan left the LORD's presence.  Holman Christian Standard Bible, Jobs 1:12   We all Some of us know about the story of Jobs in the old testament about his tribulations on earth which was approved by God, it was a wager between God and Satan about the devout nature of Jobs in service to God. Long story short, God gave Satan the approval to torment him and test him if he will still be faithful despite all his travails. This post will focus on Job’s comedic entrance into Heaven after he died. Job arrived at the gates of Heaven, everywhere was shining, almost blinding with the streets paved in Gold, the beautiful pearly gate was opened to Jobs. As he walked i

Absalom, The Old Men And The Tale Of The Sacrifice..... Contd

This is a fictional story from my crazily funny friend Timi Price. Open your heart and be ready for some serious laugh. Thank me later and by the way it is serial, so expect more!!!!!!!! And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD. 1 Kings 8:63 “I’m gonna have to stop you right there, I’m too old for this. I don’t need an introduction into your life. I’m dying here, look how pale my face is. I don’t have time for the complete narration of your ancestry history! Could you tell me what you want?” The old man rushed Absalom as he approached his favorite wooden arm-chair. “The King is planning something big that I’m not at liberty to discuss at this time. He has tasked me with acquiring huge amount of livestock. We would wish to buy them from you.” Absalom briefed him. “I’m

The stories in the Bible are like the World Cup finals (pretty much summarized) that hold once in a couple of years, the race to the finals takes longer than the finals itself, the qualifiers takes years to play while the finals take like a month. He offered 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep, what was summarized in I King 8:63 will no doubt have been an herculean task. Solomon would have needed to source for more oxen and sheep.

Can you believe this Nigga (pardon my french), see me see question oo , O! razz thou art loose. All the sensitive places in her body that had risen in joy by just being close to this interesting young man had suddenly turned to nerve, O! she was sore vexed, she couldn't do anything about it because this was her year of emotional maturity, so she sat there like a zombie, plastered a smile on her face while thinking of the right way to deal with this. ............................ Timilehin knew he was headed for trouble but this girl is his kinda girl, I mean the crazy girl (yeah she cray!) won't stop yapping but she is damn funny, loves football and the her body is banging. A Side Chic Story..............

Involuntarily, she got dressed thinking why should should she attend this party, she didn't buy the aso-ebi mainly because the her friend's cousin is not really her friend, "atleast I will eat free party jollof rice" she said to nobody in particular. Kemi was ready to go, something made her as positive as a Scotsman that she is going to meet someone interesting today, see Oluwakemi Fijabi is a very emotional and 'deep' person, very intuitive and kind of psychic, so when the little voice in her head said she would meet with something new interesting, she knew questioning such inner revelations was just wrong.  Coming down from the cab into the tiny hall, she has been here before so she didn't even bother looking inside for a space to sit, she looked up and saw her friend with a bunch of guys they schooled together. After exchanging pleasantries, here she was later smiling ridiculously with this random guy, thinking in her head, could it be him?

Love................ The Tough Type

Image
Yaaaay! I'm back   Today musings is about love, an idea I love so much but it is not just the mushy, eros kinda love but tough love borne of deep affection to right a wrong or imbibe certain principles in this individual. Before I go on to the lesson, let me tell the story of the inspiration behind this. Dupe (the lady who makes my nails) was already so late for the appointment but as a 'loyalist' that I am, I couldn't go anywhere else, anyways she came back with her baby (I gotta say, this baby is about the only baby that I know of that can laugh to every and anything), she had to feed her first so that she is able to work without any hassle. But this lovely baby won't eat, all the means devised by the mother did not work as she started wailing (Omo, this baby can cry ooo!).  That was how Iya Mistura, a neighbor came to the rescue, feeding her in the most 'cruel' way I have ever seen. I'm sure as a Nigerian child you might
